Buxton Lodge is a purpose-built, timber-clad building located within the dog free picnic area in the Park and is easily accessible from the Oak Lane entrance.
The building provides a spacious meeting area with an interactive whiteboard and hearing loop. The Lodge has facilities for light refreshments and fully accessible toilets with baby changing facilities.
The Lodge is available for hire by community groups or organisations on a regular basis. For example it can be used for outdoor learning for primary school children. Alternative uses are more informal sessions such as a talk on trees by a local community group or families organising a bug hunt.
The building is particularly suited for outdoor learning, heritage or environment events and health walks. This list is not exhaustive – the Trustees will happily consider all requests for use of the building.
